The streets around the Santa Catalina market have for some time become one of the places for restaurants.
I would like to recommend you try a fairly new addition, Sa Botiga de Via Appia which seats perhaps a dozen people.
This is an off-shoot of the full Italian restaurant across the road, The Via Appia.
Run by the restaurant owner´s wife, Sa Botiga was opened to, ´offer a place to get to know, sample, taste and select Italian products´.
When we went they were offering a sample menu of any four dishes from their menu for 15Euros.
Their menu of 20 dishes are between 10 and 14 Euros.
We chose a ruccola salad with Parmesan and sherry tomatoes; Cod carpaccio with red peppers and black olives; foie gras with tomato confit, guinea foul with wild mushrooms; aubergines Parmesan style and roast beef with black pepper- all superb except perhaps the beef was too rare for our taste.
