As mentioned previously in The Islander, the new concessionaires “Servicios Tecnicos Portuarios” have taken over management of the Boatyard Palma premises effective from the 2nd December 2006.
They are currently working hard to clear a backlog of bookings from November, and can obviously only lift yachts according to priority, as and when capacity becomes available.
Meanwhile the area adjacent to the present yard has been cleared of containers and will be re-developed when planning permission is secured, thus providing additional lift and hard standing space, and enabling modernisation of other parts of the site, without disruption to services or loss of capacity.
