FLUSHED AWAY
Excellent, 100% laugh material. For those that have never watched a cartoon, and those who have seen them all, here comes a great adventure with an incredible cast (Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Ian McKellen, Jean Reno, Bill Nighy(Who is actually the singer in love).
This will amuse you and make you laugh the whole way through the hour and 20 minutes that this movie lasts. Don’t miss it!!!
DEPARTED
As good as you’ve been told. Finally here is a movie with all the additives to be considered a magnificent classic. It’s got action, suspense, the good and the bad guy, a great story and a remarkable cast (Nicholson, DiCaprio, Damon and more), directed by Martin Scorsese. It will keep you on the edge of the chair till the end.
You must see it!
IDLEWILD
A kind of musical, but not quite...
To be honest, when I watched it I didn’t have a clue who this singing duo were - do you know them? They are the Outkast and their most famous song was “Idlewild Blue”. Their brand of music is described as a fusion of pop, rap and hip-hop. The movie has a kind of plot, with a few gangsters and some romance, but apart from the music which accompanies the script with a few decent tracks, it loses it´s way somewhere along the line after a promising start.
Anyway rumour has it, that the duo (Andre and Antwan) are splitting up, because they don´t get along anymore. So maybe its worth watching this film for the music, as it could very well be their last gig!
Verdict: Give it a go, but don´t expect to be intellectually challenged by the storyline!
