As we went to press the stage was set for the start of the Superyacht Cup Ulysse Nardin, which will commence on 16th June (around the time that this edition of The Islander is published) and the organisers were busy preparing for the biggest Superyacht Cup event ever in Palma. The emphatic victory of the PP Party in the Calvia Municipal elections has laid to rest any further doubts over the go ahead for the planned extension of Port Adriano Marina in El Toro. In fact the project was already signed off at local and central government level last month, endorsing the reccomendation from the public works Dept of the Balearics Port Authority that it should proceed.
