NO REPRESENTATION OF THE BALEARICS AT THE LONDON BOAT SHOW

The Balearics had no stand in the London Boat Show this year.
Despite the lobbying of the government to take a more serious attitude to the local marine business by several marine associations in the Balearics the "powers that be" have obviously not heeded their requests and had absolutely no representation at what is one of the largest and most important boat shows in the world.
With the history of British yachtsmen in the Balearics and the current tourism crisis this decision is doubly inexplicable.
In comparison Turkey, which is already a significant competitor to the Balearic marine business, created a "Turkish harbour" in the central pool of Earlīs Court to promote itself.
Croatia, Gibraltar and Portugal were represented by their tourist boards whilst the Menorca School of Sailing was the only local exhibitor.
