| COUNTDOWN TO FUTURE OF SUPERYACHTS |

The organisers of The Future of Superyachts Conference which comes to Palma for its third successive year on 21st and 22nd June have announced that several more key speakers from the industry have been added to the agenda. Alison Singhal from Quaynote Communications said; “Its really good news that we have some excellent speakers confirmed, including a keynote presentation by Vincenzo Poeiro the CEO of Benetti entitled: What are the challenges faced by the superyacht industry? Opportunities and threats in the short, mid and long term.” Jacqueline Lyne, Director of Edmiston Yacht Management will discuss: What will owners of the future be expecting from yacht builders, designers, captains and service providers? Oliver Corlette, CEO of the new superyacht marina at Porto Montenegro will follow with: Superyacht destinations of the future - meeting the challenges of opening a new cruising destination. Amongst the many other interesting topics over the two days - Jonathan Syrett, Vice-President of AEGY (Spanish Large Yachts Association) and Director of Camper & Nicholsons in Palma will update delegates on: How current tax and VAT rules on superyachts affect industry and the wider economy. As in previous years there will be a number of informal “Champagne Roundtable” topics, on such things as Extreme Destinations, Marketing, Finance and one on Confidentiality Agreements and their effectiveness, which will be moderated by Benjamin Maltby of Palma based MatrixLloyd.
