RIAD DRAGONERA ROUND ISLAND RIB RACE
The 2010 edition of the Vuelta a Mallorca Dragonera Raid RIB race took place on 10 and 11 July, enjoying some extremely hot weather and calm seas which allowed the maximum speed for all participants.
This sixth edition of the Raid Dragonera-Tour of Mallorca, reserved especially for RIBs in several performance classes, has become a reference in the testing of these boats for long-distances around the  Mediterranean, and has resulted in even more participation and interest in the event this year.
The route, between Puerto Portals, Sóller, Pollença, Alcudia, Sa Rapita and returning to Puerto Portals again totalled more than 180 nautical miles.
The event is generously supported and sponsored by the likes of Repsol, Banco Cetelem, Skipper Yacht Magazine and yacht clubs / marinas such as CN Port Pollenca, Alcudiamar and CN Sa Rapita.
There were 15 participants representing six countries and the RIBs were divided into five categories according to their length and engine rating. The Alfa Group averaged over 25 knots, and the Foxtrot class over 55 knots around the course.
This years’s overall real time winner was  the stunning Braveheart entered by Scanner Spain.
